Description:

Duck Creek Technologies, a global leader in intelligent SaaS solutions for the property and casualty insurance industry, is hiring a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join its growing sales team. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity to help shape the future of insurance technology by engaging prospects, generating leads, and supporting the sales process.

In this role, you'll gain hands-on experience in sales development, receive extensive training, and work alongside senior sales professionals to identify and cultivate new business opportunities. You’ll be an early and critical touchpoint in the buyer journey, helping prospects understand the value of Duck Creek’s solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct proactive outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn to engage prospects.

  • Understand and identify customer pain points, and match them with Duck Creek’s solutions.

  • Educate leads about Duck Creek’s products and qualify sales opportunities.

  • Conduct initial conversations with prospects to align their needs with our offerings.

  • Collaborate with Sales Directors on account strategies and territory planning.

  • Partner with marketing and operations teams to build targeted lead lists and follow-up strategies post-campaign or event.

  • Maintain and track activities in Salesforce with accuracy and consistency.


Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (preferred).

  • Prior experience as a Business Development Representative is a plus.

  • Strong interest in sales, marketing, or technology.

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.

  • Self-motivated, curious, and results-driven with a team-oriented mindset.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

  • Experience or internship in a tech or SaaS company is a bonus.


Additional Information:

  • Work Mode: Flexible-First (Hybrid, some in-office time required in Boston, MA)

  • Travel Requirement: 0–10%

  • Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship provided)
