Description:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will focus on building and expanding referral partnerships with mortgage brokers in Ontario to promote Bloom’s reverse mortgage solutions. Reporting to the Regional VP of Business Development, the role involves developing a strong sales pipeline, delivering training and presentations, collaborating with underwriting and account teams, and representing Bloom at events. The BDM will also monitor market trends, meet sales targets, and provide field feedback to improve products and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage a pipeline of referral partnerships with mortgage brokers in Ontario, focusing on a designated territory.
Deliver training, presentations, and coaching to partners on Bloom’s reverse mortgage solutions.
Collaborate with underwriting and account executives to support deal flow from lead generation to funding.
Identify opportunities to deepen relationships and expand Bloom’s presence in key BC markets.
Represent Bloom at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
Stay updated on market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy.
Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs.
Provide feedback to improve Bloom’s products, processes, and partner support tools.
Qualifications and Skills:
3+ years experience in business development, mortgage lending, or financial services.
Existing relationships within Ontario mortgage broker community are an asset.
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Highly self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a remote-first environment.
Willingness to travel throughout Ontario.
Passion for helping older Canadians improve financial well-being.
Ontario Mortgage Agent License required.
