The Associate Manager – In-Store Execution & NRM Foods Canada is responsible for driving in-store execution excellence and Net Revenue Management (NRM) capabilities across the Foods Business Unit (BU) in Canada. Working cross-functionally with Customer Business Development (CBD), Brand Building, Category Management, Finance, Supply Chain, and Integrated Planning, this role supports the out-of-section pillar of the Foods Perfect Store agenda, activates NRM levers (including price-pack architecture, pricing and mix optimization, and promotion effectiveness) and enables data-driven decision-making through analytical suites. The role is critical to delivering sustainable, profitable growth across key Canadian retail customers.

What Will Your Main Responsibilities Be

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact both on business results and how Unilever implements its customer and channel strategies. Playing a key role within our CS&P team, you will be responsible for:
 

  • Leading in-store execution standards across Canadian retail customers (For example, Loblaw, Metro, Sobeys, Walmart, Costco), with a focus on driving the displayers pillar for the Foods Perfect Store agenda across 4,000+ modern trade stores.
  • Developing and activating Net Revenue Management (NRM) levers, including price-pack architecture by channel, pricing and mix optimization, and promotion effectiveness strategies to deliver margin improvement and fund growth reinvestment.
  • Leading SPARK-enabled analytics, including maintenance of data accuracy, facilitating cross-functional NRM data-driven workshops to identify growth and optimization opportunities, and building a future-fit initiative funnel.
  • Supporting Special Packs & Displays (SP&D) portfolio efficiency by driving SKU simplification to ensure a lean, profitable and productive product portfolio.
  • Collaborating on Design for Channel (D4C) initiatives, including unlocking sustainable and profitable listings in high-growth channels such as Club (Costco), Dollar (Dollarama), and Convenience & Gas (C&G).
  • Leading innovation SP&D strategy for new product launches, including coordinating cross-functional alignment on special packs and displays execution from concept to shelf, ensuring timely go-to-market readiness and flawless in-store activation across key Canadian retail customers.
  • Partnering with Integrated Planning on Supply Planning & Demand (SP&D) forecast accuracy and minimize business waste.
  • Contributing to business reviews, annual planning cycles, and the Gross Margin (GM) improvement roadmap by identifying savings to reinvest in growth initiatives.
  • Partnering with third-party display designers and packaging suppliers to develop, brief, and execute high-impact in-store display solutions (e.g., shippers, floor stands, PDQs) that support new launches and promotional activations across key retail customers.
  • Proactively monitoring and analyzing competitive trade activities across all channels in the Canadian marketplace to assess implications and recommend appropriate actions .
     

What You Need To Succeed
 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) / Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, in sales, trade marketing, Net Revenue Management (NRM), or customer strategy.
  • Strong analytical and data-mining aptitude, with the ability to utilize data to develop and support NRM initiatives and customer sell-in stories.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with large data sets and reporting tools (e.g., ACNielsen Market Track).
  • Strong competency and in-depth understanding of the Canadian retail customer landscape.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and initiatives of varying complexity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at various levels of the organization and work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Significant independent responsibility with a strong bias for action and an entrepreneurial spirit.
