Unit Manager

Shift: Monday to Friday. 37.5 hours per week, however, as a condition of employment, a reasonable number of additional hours beyond your normal weekly hours will be required to complete operational objectives. The normal start time each day is approximiately 10:30 am. Flexbility required for vacation coverage or other reasons.

Manage and supervise courier and linehaul operations at the Burnaby depot

Manage a group of unionized employees.

Create a positive work environment, building employee loyalty and a team atmosphere.

Responsible for achieving objectives as outlined in the operational scorecard.

Responsible for managing performance of employees as per operational standards and indices.

Improve operational standards through reviews of employee performance, coaching, counseling and recognition.

Responsible for communicating and implementing policy, procedure or programs.

Responsible for completing a variety of reports and documents.

Provide vacation and other coverage for Unit Managers/docks

All other related and assigned duties.
