Description:

The Club agroenvironnemental de l’Estrie is a dynamic team of around twenty professionals dedicated to providing environmental consulting services to nearly 500 agricultural producers across the Estrie region. As a non-profit organization, it plays a crucial role in supporting sustainable agricultural development and helping achieve the objectives of the Quebec government’s Sustainable Agriculture Plan through practical, field-based advisory services.

As a Conseiller / Conseillère en agroenvironnement, you will work directly with agricultural producers, helping them balance profitability with environmental stewardship. You will join a passionate, well-recognized team committed to advancing sustainable farming practices.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide close advisory support in field crops focusing on fertilization, crop protection, soil health, and biodiversity.

  • Conduct field inspections, identify agricultural challenges, and propose practical and tailored recommendations.

  • Develop and monitor Agri-Environmental Fertilization Plans (PAEF) and ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Manage the administrative aspects of delivered consulting services.

  • Participate in awareness and knowledge transfer activities for producers and partners, including workshops and field events.


Required Qualifications:

  • College diploma (DEC) in Agricultural Enterprise Management and Technologies or equivalent, or membership in the Ordre des agronomes du Québec.

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in field crops and agricultural consulting.

  • Strong ability to communicate effectively and build lasting relationships with producers.

  • Ability to perform outdoor and physical work when required.

  • Highly organized, autonomous, and detail-oriented with good digital literacy.

  • Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle (frequent travel required).
