Technology Sourcing Manager

Yelp is seeking a Technology Sourcing Manager to join its Business Technology Team — not to be confused with a recruiting role. This position offers an exciting opportunity for professionals with a strong background in strategic technology procurement and vendor negotiations to influence technology adoption across Yelp’s corporate and production environments.

As a key contributor, you will lead end-to-end technology sourcing projects, from identifying vendors and conducting RFPs to handling contract negotiations and ensuring compliance with contractual terms. Your focus will span a wide array of partnerships, including software, hardware, infrastructure tools, telco, and data center services.

This role is fully remote and open to qualified applicants across Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead complete sourcing lifecycle for technology initiatives, including strategy, vendor identification, RFPs, contract negotiations, and stakeholder coordination.

• Cultivate strong relationships with both external vendors and internal business units.

• Simultaneously manage short-term renewals and long-term strategic technology partnerships.

• Maintain and organize a robust vendor and contract database, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and transparency in renewals and critical terms.

• Analyze vendor spend, purchasing trends, and performance data to provide actionable insights and inform decision-making.

• Ensure all executed contracts are properly documented, tracked, and aligned with payment and compliance expectations.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of technology sourcing experience, preferably across software, hardware, telco, or data centers.

• Strong understanding of vendor and contract management principles within a technical landscape.

• Exceptional communication skills—written, verbal, and negotiation—with the ability to engage confidently with C-suite stakeholders and suppliers.

• Excellent organizational and analytical capabilities to manage multiple ongoing projects with clarity and structure.

• Ability to collaborate across geographically distributed teams.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
