Sustainability Manager

Description:

The Manager – Sustainability will play a key role in supporting CBA’s environmental stewardship and sustainability initiatives. Responsibilities include:

·Support sustainability programs and initiatives under the guidance of the Vice President, Sustainability, Scientific and Regulatory Affairs, ensuring alignment with CBA objectives.

·Coordinate and manage the Environment Committee’s activities, including meeting logistics, documentation, and follow-up actions.

·Manage CBA organizational sustainability reporting obligations.

·Monitor and report on industry trends related to sustainability and provide timely updates to members and stakeholders.

·Assist in developing and implementing sustainability strategies, including recycling, packaging, and resource efficiency programs.

·Manage relationships with external consultants and vendors engaged in sustainability projects.

·Prepare reports, presentations, and advocacy materials for internal and external audiences.

·Collaborate with government relations, stakeholder relations and communications teams to support engagement with government and non-government stakeholders.

·Represent CBA at selected sustainability-related meetings and events as required.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS – EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

·3–5 years of experience in sustainability, environmental programs, or related fields.

·Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

·Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience preparing reports and presentations.

·Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-stakeholder environment.

·Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with data analysis tools.

·Assets: Knowledge of legislative and regulatory frameworks related to environmental stewardship.

·French language skills.
