Supervision Control Center System Support Manager

Description:

Could you be the full-time Supervision Control Center (SCC) System Support Manager in Toronto, ON we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your multidisciplinary engineering expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, innovative, and highly skilled teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in leading and coordinating engineering activities across the Integrated Control Centre (ICC) project, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, integrated solutions that meet customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and Alstom’s engineering excellence standards. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including Integration, Testing, and Commissioning teams), oversee the management of platforms in the lab, and ensure strong configuration management to handle parallel test campaigns, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of leading the strategy for Management Systems (MS) and Data Center Infrastructure (DCI), but also ensure cross-functional coordination and compliance with Alstom’s engineering processes.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Leading the strategy for all MS subsystems, interfaces, and associated engineering plans.
  • Defining and managing the DCI subsystem strategy throughout the engineering lifecycle.
  • Driving design, development, integration, verification, and validation activities.
  • Ensuring on-time delivery of engineering deliverables aligned with Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Performance (QCDP) objectives.
  • Managing and developing a team of system support engineers, fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Representing system support in front of customers, partners, suppliers, and assessors.

All About You

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (required).
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or Business Administration (an asset).
  • Significant experience in engineering management on complex technical projects.

  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary and multi-site engineering teams.
  • Proficiency with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS or equivalent).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Familiarity with SCRUM framework and IBM ALM tools (EWM, ETM) or equivalent is a plus.
  • Good understanding of software development lifecycle, infrastructure as code principles, and test automation basics.
