  • Lead technical reviews and risk assessments; advise on mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations, privacy, and security standards.

Collaboration & Team Leadership

  • Work closely with executive sponsors, project managers, and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Supervise and mentor technical staff (e.g., Information Security Analyst), and provide oversight to contractors and vendors.
  • Support agile and iterative development practices through architecture enablement.

Innovation & Evaluation

  • Research and evaluate relevant emerging technologies and industry trends, particularly in AI/ML, cloud, and assessment platforms, to inform project-specific and short-term strategic decisions.
  • Recommend strategic technology investments with demonstrable ROI that directly support project success and initial scalability requirements.

Organizational Commitment

  • Demonstrates a commitment to ongoing learning related to Indigenous cultural safety and humility and supporting organizational actions towards addressing indigenous-specific racism in BC’s health care system.
