Solutions Architect

Iris Software Inc., a leading IT services provider, is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to work with one of Canada’s top 5 banks on a long-term contract engagement. This is a hybrid role based in Toronto, offering the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects in the financial services sector. The bank serves millions of clients globally, providing comprehensive banking, investing, asset management, and risk management products and services.

As a Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for designing high-level architecture solutions, collaborating with client’s lead architects, and ensuring scalable and secure implementation of digital banking applications. This role requires strong domain expertise in digital banking and a technical foundation in cloud, microservices, and modern development frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and define high-level architecture solutions for complex financial systems.

• Collaborate with client’s lead architects to align on enterprise architecture standards and practices.

• Provide strategic architectural guidance for digital banking platforms, including security and compliance.

• Ensure robust, scalable, and secure solution designs aligned with business goals.

• Contribute to innovation by staying updated with digital banking trends, emerging technologies, and market solutions.

• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful design and delivery of architectural solutions.

Required Skills & Expertise:

• Strong experience in designing and implementing solution architectures in financial services.

• Proficiency in AWS, Java 8+, Angular, and API microservices.

• Solid understanding of digital banking solutions, industry trends, and security best practices.

• Experience working with high-level architecture and system landscapes.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Preferred: Experience in payments systems.
