Iris Software Inc. is seeking a MEAN Stack Developer on behalf of its client, one of Canada’s top five banks, for a long-term contract opportunity. This role is based in Toronto, ON, and follows a hybrid working model. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable cloud-based applications that support the bank’s enterprise-level systems and digital transformation initiatives.

As the largest bank in Canada by market capitalization, the client serves over 17 million clients worldwide, providing a full spectrum of banking, investing, asset management, and risk-management products and services. The MEAN Stack Developer will contribute to building and enhancing distributed cloud applications while ensuring performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and troubleshoot RESTful APIs and interface specifications (Swagger, SOAP).

• Build and maintain scalable applications using the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js).

• Develop solutions using additional technologies such as Vue.js, Angular.js, Java 8, Spring Framework, REST APIs, Microservices, and SQL.

• Work on distributed cloud applications using Pivotal Cloud Foundry, OpenShift, and Docker.

• Apply object-oriented coding practices, design patterns, refactoring techniques, and clean code principles.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready solutions.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 7+ years of development experience with strong expertise in MEAN stack technologies.

• Experience with distributed cloud applications and containerized environments.

• Strong understanding of RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and object-oriented programming.

• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize applications for performance, reliability, and maintainability.

• Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
