Sentry, a leading provider of performance and error monitoring tools used by top-tier companies like Microsoft, Disney, and Atlassian, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer (JavaScript), SDK to join its Toronto-based hybrid team. This exciting opportunity is ideal for a highly experienced and passionate JavaScript engineer looking to drive innovation and redefine the developer experience.

As part of Sentry's growing JavaScript SDK team, you'll work on a wide range of open-source projects including SDKs for the browser, React, Node.js, and particularly the feature-rich Next.js ecosystem. This is a high-impact role with complete ownership over the development lifecycle—from feature ideation and implementation to testing, documentation, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive the evolution of Sentry’s JavaScript SDKs, with a special focus on the Next.js SDK.

• Take full ownership of code implementation including writing tests and documentation.

• Utilize modern AI tools to enhance productivity and development efficiency.

• Collaborate with industry-standard groups (e.g., TC39, OpenTelemetry) to shape the future of JavaScript development.

• Represent Sentry at conferences and engage actively with the GitHub open-source community.

• Support the Customer Operations team to resolve critical bugs and improve user experience.
