Senior Software Developer

Intelex Technologies ULC, a Fortive company and a global leader in EHSQ (Environment, Health, Safety, and Quality) software, is hiring a Senior Software Developer to help design, build, and maintain high-quality cloud-based applications. This full-time, remote position (within Canada) is ideal for a technically strong and innovative developer with a passion for scalable, secure, and performance-driven applications.

In this role, you'll be responsible for the full development cycle—from collaborating with product teams to designing distributed systems, deploying cloud-native applications, and mentoring junior developers. Your expertise in modern development stacks, cloud platforms, DevOps tools, and automation will contribute to delivering enterprise-grade solutions for over 3.5 million global users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable web applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to deliver user-centric features and functionalities.

• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and fault tolerance in distributed systems.

• Conduct and participate in code reviews to ensure clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

• Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and automate infrastructure with Terraform.

• Utilize AWS and/or Azure cloud services for application deployment and maintenance.

• Create and maintain scripts using PowerShell and/or Bash for automation.

• Guide junior developers and help foster a culture of innovation and technical excellence.

• Stay current with technological advancements and continuously improve technical skills.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development.

• Strong expertise in C# .NET, with a proven ability to build robust applications.

• Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js, particularly for web application development.

• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure for cloud-based deployments.

• Solid understanding of GitHub Actions for DevOps and CI/CD workflows.

• Working knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure-as-code.

• Familiarity with scripting using PowerShell or Bash.

• Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture.

• Strong knowledge of version control systems like Git and Agile development practices.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Self-driven and proactive learner with a passion for innovation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (containerization and orchestration).

• Knowledge of front-end frameworks like React or Angular is a plus.
