Senior Project Manager

Traugott Building Contractors Inc., a trusted name in Canada’s construction industry for over 60 years, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and execute complex Industrial, Commercial, Institutional (ICI) and residential projects across Ontario. This is a high-impact leadership role for a results-driven professional who is passionate about delivering quality construction and developing high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage multiple ICI and residential construction projects from pre-construction to closeout.

• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, scopes, and risk management plans.

• Ensure compliance with OBC, OHSA, AODA, and other applicable standards.

• Administer contracts including CCDC and client-specific terms—manage RFIs, change orders, submittals, and vendor coordination.

• Foster collaborative communication with consultants, site supervisors, subcontractors, and clients.

• Promote and maintain strong client relationships through regular reporting and issue resolution.

• Drive a culture of safety-first, in partnership with the company’s Health & Safety team.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff including Project Coordinators and Junior Project Managers.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across tools, processes, and project delivery.

Qualifications and Skills:

• 10+ years of progressive construction experience, with 5+ years in a senior role managing large-scale ICI/residential projects.

• Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

• Gold Seal Certification (GSC), PMP, or equivalent designation is an asset.

• Proven experience leading projects valued between $5M to $50M+.

• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, financial oversight, and delivery models.

• Proficiency in tools such as MS Project, Procore, Bluebeam, etc.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

• Familiarity with Ontario construction regulations, permitting processes, and approval workflows.

• Must have a valid Ontario Class G driver’s license and reliable transportation.
