Senior Landscape Architect

Architecture49 Inc. is inviting applications for the role of Senior Landscape Architect to join their Western Canada team based in the Vancouver office. This hybrid role offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative and regionally significant projects within a firm that values creativity, sustainability, and collaboration.

As a Senior Landscape Architect, you will be a vital contributor to the design, development, and delivery of various landscape architecture projects, especially in sectors such as sports and entertainment, transportation infrastructure, industrial facilities, and science and technology environments. The successful candidate will lead design efforts, manage projects, interact with clients and stakeholders, and contribute to the firm’s continuous evolution and excellence in landscape architecture.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Create innovative and technically sound landscape design solutions.

• Prepare high-quality conceptual designs, technical documents, specifications, and detailed construction packages.

• Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they stay on budget and meet deadlines.

• Develop and review cost estimates, design briefs, and technical reports.

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and approval authorities.

• Collaborate across disciplines with other architects, engineers, and planners to ensure integrated design solutions.

• Conduct site inspections and support contract administration.

• Ensure compliance with all local standards and project contract requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Professional Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited institution (or equivalent).

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a registered landscape architecture role.

• Eligibility or active membership with BCSLA (British Columbia Society of Landscape Architects).

• Experience with REVIT, Adobe Suite, Microsoft 365, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and BIM workflows is preferred.

• Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.

Compensation:

• Salary range: CAD 74,600 to CAD 102,600 annually

• Equivalent monthly salary: CAD 6216 to CAD 8550

• Final offer may vary based on experience, skills, and business needs.
