CAE, a global leader in aviation training and simulation, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst – Transaction Team (FP&A) to join its Montreal-based team supporting the Flight Services Software division. This high-impact role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with commercial, strategy, and cross-functional teams and to contribute directly to the company’s strategic growth in software services.
As the finance partner for Strategy and Commercial groups, you will bring clarity and insight to transaction proposals, refine financial forecasting models, and ensure accurate pricing and revenue projections. Your work will be essential to aligning transactions with company profitability goals, supporting budget planning, and influencing executive-level decision-making.
📊 Financial Modeling & Analysis:
Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models (P&L and cash flow) to assess profitability, ROI, IRR, and NPV
Analyze transaction proposals for financial soundness, including scenario testing and sensitivity analysis
Present financial analysis to senior executives during weekly business reviews
Support customer contract evaluations to ensure financial alignment and value capture
Work with large datasets (pricing, costs) to derive insights for strategic decisions
🤝 Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner closely with commercial, delivery, engineering, customer service, and technology teams to refine transaction models
Continuously improve estimation processes for greater forecast accuracy
Coordinate with internal finance teams to align with CAE Flight Services’ budget and strategic planning cycles
📆 Reporting & Planning:
Conduct monthly variance analysis against forecast, budget, and prior year results
Support the annual budget process and provide ad hoc analytical insights
Help drive strategic planning processes through financial data sharing and alignment
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
CPA or CFA designation (in progress or completed)
Strong experience in financial modeling and Microsoft Excel
High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
Exceptional communication and presentation skills
Bilingual (French and English), with collaboration required across North America
