CIBC is seeking a Spécialiste principal en services financiers (Senior Financial Services Specialist) for its Québec branch. In this client-focused role, you will manage and grow a portfolio by providing dedicated financial advice, tailored planning, and exceptional customer service. As part of the CIBC Imperial Service approach, you will take ownership of a large client base, helping individuals achieve their financial goals, including retirement planning, home ownership, investments, and business growth.

This role is ideal for a motivated financial professional who thrives on building strong client relationships, networking within the community, and delivering customized solutions across a wide range of credit, investment, and banking services. You will play a pivotal role in representing the CIBC brand within the Québec community through outreach, events, and proactive engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and deepen relationships with existing clients by providing reliable investment advice and holistic financial planning solutions.

  • Proactively reach out to new and existing clients to establish long-term connections.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive local sales plan to convert prospects into loyal CIBC clients.

  • Use CIBC’s wide array of credit and investment products to deliver needs-based solutions.

  • Represent CIBC in the community by participating in outreach, networking, and local events to strengthen brand presence.

  • Foster client loyalty and generate referrals by exceeding service expectations.

Certifications & Qualifications:

  • Mandatory:

    • Valid AMF or ACCFM license (as applicable).

    • Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or the Investment Funds in Canada Course (IFC).

    • Must meet eligibility requirements for an AMF license (Québec).

  • Preferred/Assets:

    • Retirement Consultant (CR) designation.

    • Completion of CSI/ICB courses: Placements et fiscalité – Québec (0774) and Aspects juridiques et éthiques de la planification financière (0790).

  • Bilingualism (French required, English proficiency an asset).

Working Conditions:

  • Permanent, full-time role (37.5 hours/week).

  • On-site in Québec, QC.

  • Client-facing position requiring professional presence and engagement in community activities.
