Senior Devops Developer

OpenText, a global leader in information management, is seeking a Senior Software Developer – DevOps to join their team in Richmond Hill, ON. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining DevOps tooling and automation for cloud-based and private infrastructure, contributing to the development of secure and efficient systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build, automate, and maintain a flexible and efficient CI/CD ecosystem and virtual infrastructures.

• Design, deploy, manage, and maintain operational build and test pipelines for multiple teams.

• Collaborate with development teams to create CI/CD pipeline automation systems.

• Define and deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems on build infrastructure.

• Ensure stability and availability of pipelines.

• Troubleshoot and triage pipeline failures for swift resolution.

• Build tools and processes to support CI/CD infrastructure.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Expertise in CI/CD pipeline creation, automation, and troubleshooting (GitLab, Jenkins).

• Strong scripting knowledge (JavaScript, Python, Groovy, Bash, Ruby) and programming experience (C++, C#, Java) is a plus.

• OS administration experience on Windows, macOS, and Linux; OS internals knowledge is a plus.

• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Git, SVN, P4, ClearCase, Artifactory, Fortify, Coverity, SonarQube, Grafana.

• Experience with cloud infrastructure, IaC, container orchestration (Kubernetes, Ansible), and VM/cloud management (vCloud, Terraform).

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Agile methodology experience; familiarity with project management/tracking tools (Jira, Confluence).

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience configuring CMake for cross-platform builds (Windows/macOS/Linux).

• Experience in Web/SaaS product development.
