We are currently seeking a Senior Analyst, Asset Strategy to join our Asset Strategy Team in Toronto. This role plays a pivotal part in maximizing asset value and mitigating portfolio risk by providing robust analytical support and contributing to cross-functional initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Asset Strategy:

• Support asset strategy development, valuation, and portfolio analytics.

• Conduct financial modelling, sensitivity analysis, and scenario planning to aid strategic decision-making.

• Collaborate with departments to ensure accurate data and improve project returns.

• Assist in preparing strategic presentations for executives and partners.

• Perform variance analysis and reconciliation tasks.

• Track portfolio changes including acquisitions, dispositions, redevelopments, and capital expenditures.

• Stay informed on macroeconomic and market trends relevant to the portfolio.

• Participate in special cross-departmental projects and ad hoc assignments.

Portfolio Management:

• Prepare quarterly property valuations from research and modelling to reporting and review.

• Coordinate and evaluate third-party valuation reports for accuracy and assumptions.

• Provide valuation support for financial reporting (statements, regulatory filings, investor presentations, forecasting, etc.).

• Support acquisitions and development teams by analyzing financial models or preparing independent models.

• Liaise with external appraisers, consultants, and auditors for portfolio oversight and analysis.

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in commercial real estate with a focus on asset valuation or management.

• Strong knowledge of valuation methodologies, particularly for retail and multi-residential assets.

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or real estate (MBA, CFA, or CPA considered an asset).

• Enrolment in or willingness to pursue the AACI designation.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to simplify complex information for stakeholders.

• Advanced analytical capabilities with a talent for synthesizing and interpreting data.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ARGUS with hands-on experience in detailed recovery modelling.

• Team-oriented with a proactive, collaborative approach to project success.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
