Senior Account Manager

Description:

BDC is seeking a Senior Commercial Account Manager to join its team in Grande Prairie, Alberta. This hybrid role offers an exciting opportunity to work with Canada's only bank dedicated exclusively to entrepreneurs. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of existing clients while also generating new business opportunities and offering tailored financing and advisory solutions to businesses with sales between $3M and $50M.

As a Senior Account Manager, you will act as a trusted advisor to local entrepreneurs, helping them grow their businesses and make strategic decisions. You’ll play an active role in the community by networking and developing relationships to expand BDC’s client base. Your action plan will focus on client retention, growth, and acquisition aligned with the Business Centre’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet entrepreneurs to understand their business challenges and provide BDC solutions

• Develop and execute a business development plan to grow your client portfolio

• Review, negotiate, and present financing proposals

• Apply sound credit judgment in financing decisions

• Represent BDC in the business community, building and leveraging your network

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through referrals and COIs (Centers of Influence)

• Provide outstanding service and practical financial advice to clients

• Ensure travel availability to rural and remote areas when required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle

• Bilingualism in French (asset)
