As a Renewal Retention Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting Westland’s growth and commitment to exceptional client service. You will use your knowledge of personal insurance, regional market insights, and technical expertise to enhance client retention and ensure smooth policy renewals. This role demands a high level of attention to detail, customer focus, and proactive communication.

You will be responsible for completing renewal reviews, identifying gaps in coverage, and providing clients with expert advice. The position also emphasizes upselling and cross-selling opportunities to meet client needs while maintaining high retention rates. You will work closely with internal teams to maintain strong relationships and support process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough renewal reviews and provide professional insurance advice to clients and advisors.

• Identify and address potential coverage gaps while promoting upselling and cross-selling opportunities.

• Maintain accurate policy renewals in line with Westland’s standards and procedures.

• Build and sustain long-term client relationships through proactive and transparent communication.

• Collaborate with advisors and management to share feedback on procedures, underwriting guidelines, and market trends.

• Participate in reporting, administrative tasks, and other assigned projects.

• Assist in training new employees on renewal workflows and retention standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of 3 years of Personal Lines insurance experience.

• Valid General Level 1 Insurance License.

• Strong knowledge of provincial markets, underwriting criteria, and company portals.

• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and time management skills.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
