The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, Canada's largest port, is seeking a skilled and motivated Real Estate Specialist for a one-year term contract. This role is responsible for managing property negotiations, lease administration, and ensuring compliance with agreements while contributing to the organization’s trade-enabling mandate. Key Responsibilities

• Negotiate lease and license agreements, amendments, rent reviews, easements, and property utilization contracts in line with VFPA policies.

• Conduct property inspections, tenant improvement reviews, and oversee construction or alterations for compliance with agreements.

• Prepare valuation reports, rental proposals, and conduct market rental surveys.

• Manage lease documentation, verify property management system inputs, and handle overdue rental accounts.

• Explore new revenue growth opportunities and provide real estate input to project and environmental review applications.

• Prepare annual rental forecasts and assist with audits, Access to Information inquiries, and special examinations.

• Participate in corporate initiatives and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma in Urban Land Economics (UBC) or equivalent.

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in real property management with strong negotiation expertise.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; database software experience is an asset.

• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities with tact, diplomacy, and a customer-service-oriented approach.

• Excellent command of the English language (oral and written).

Working Conditions
