Calian is seeking a qualified psychiatrist for a contract position at the Canadian Forces Base in St-Jean. As a part of Calian's long-standing relationship with the Canadian Ministry of National Defence, you will contribute to the health and well-being of Canadian Forces personnel. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform psychiatric evaluations to diagnose mental health conditions based on the latest DSM guidelines.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including psychopharmacological treatments, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), family therapy, group therapy, and psychodynamic psychotherapy.

• Assess patient vulnerability to risks such as suicidal tendencies or violent behavior, and take appropriate actions for immediate emergency treatment.

• Organize and facilitate group educational activities and interventions.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team within a fully functional clinic that offers support and team collaboration.

Qualifications:

• Licensed psychiatrist with a valid practice permit from the Collège des médecins du Québec.

• Member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Psychiatry.

• Experience in treating trauma-related disorders, depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, and substance use disorders.

• Strong skills in psychiatric evaluations and providing therapeutic interventions.

Additional Requirements:

• Clinic hours: Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM.

• Availability: 1-2 days per week.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team setting.
