Description:

The organization, certified Entreprise en santé – Élite +, is seeking a Cadre en soins infirmiers to contribute to the health, safety, and well-being of employees while supporting high-quality patient care for over 420,000 users in the Chaudières-Appalaches region. This role involves collaborative leadership, nursing management, and implementation of best practices in workplace health, safety, and nursing services.

Reporting to the Directrice adjointe des soins infirmiers, the incumbent will apply management competencies to oversee nursing operations, guide professional development, and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and professional standards. The role also includes participation in research and quality improvement projects, addressing patient safety, and responding promptly to incidents of abuse, neglect, or inappropriate conduct.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and control nursing care quality; conduct investigations and provide recommendations.

  • Provide professional guidance to employees in difficulty, develop competency plans, and evaluate goal attainment.

  • Support the development of nursing roles and effective governance in nursing practice.

  • Develop tools and guidelines for nursing practice, including standards and rules of care.

  • Determine team composition and staffing requirements based on service needs, scope of practice, and staff competency levels.

  • Plan, organize, lead, and evaluate projects; assess impact on roles, workflow, and performance.

  • Exercise leadership and provide recommendations for the application of laws, regulations, policies, and professional standards.

  • Intervene to prevent or respond to abuse, violence, neglect, or inappropriate behavior towards patients, according to organizational policy.

  • Lead and participate in nursing research and studies to improve patient care and staff development.


Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related discipline (required).

  • Master’s degree in Nursing is an asset.

  • Active membership with the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ).

  • Minimum of 5 years clinical nursing experience, preferably with relevant patient populations.

  • Significant experience as a nursing advisor or within nursing management is an asset.
