Power Unit Assembler

Alberta Business Loans (ABL) is hiring a Power Unit Assembler on behalf of a well-established manufacturer of hydraulic systems in Mississauga, ON. This full-time, on-site position is ideal for candidates with a solid background in mechanical or industrial assembly, particularly in hydraulics. This role involves assembling hydraulic power units from technical drawings and schematics, working with metal components, and safely using hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment. Candidates will receive thorough training to succeed in this hands-on position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble hydraulic power units according to drawings and specifications

• Work with hydraulic circuits and perform tasks such as hose crimping and tube bending (assets)

• Operate forklifts and jib cranes safely during assembly processes

• Perform tasks related to metal fabrication including cutting, welding, drilling, and tapping

• Ensure quality workmanship and adhere to safety procedures

• Collaborate effectively within a team while being able to work independently after training

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of hydraulic systems and circuit design

• Ability to interpret assembly drawings and technical schematics

• Experience using hand tools and power tools in industrial settings

• Valid forklift license and ability to operate jib cranes safely

• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly

• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working with minimal supervision

• Knowledge of AC (single-phase and three-phase) and DC low-voltage systems

• Hose crimping and tube bending experience is considered a strong asset
