Production Manager

Description:

Clutch, a rapidly growing Canadian automotive startup, is seeking an Automotive Production Manager to oversee the internal reconditioning process of pre-owned vehicles. The manager will ensure that vehicles are inspected, repaired, detailed, and prepared to meet Clutch’s high standards before being listed for sale. This role requires leadership, strong technical knowledge, and a commitment to quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage reconditioning processes for all incoming pre-owned vehicles.

• Coordinate with technicians, detailers, and vendors to ensure timely, high-quality work.

• Ensure all vehicles meet company standards before being made available on Clutch’s website.

• Maintain inventory of reconditioning supplies and equipment.

• Implement and enforce safety procedures and guidelines.

• Monitor and analyze performance metrics of the reconditioning department.

• Train, mentor, and lead reconditioning staff to maintain high performance and quality standards.

• Collaborate with other departments to align reconditioning efforts with sales goals.

• Develop and implement new processes to improve efficiency and productivity.

Candidate Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in automotive repair preferred.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive reconditioning or related field.

• Proven experience managing a team of technicians and detailers.

• Flexible schedule with ability to work weekends and overtime as required.

• Strong knowledge of automotive repair, detailing, and inspection processes.

• Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
