Physical Rehabilitation Technologist

Description:

The Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de la Montérégie-Ouest is seeking a Technologue en physiothérapie to join its Non-Institutional Resources (RNI) team at the CLSC in Valleyfield. This role involves providing rehabilitative physiotherapy support to clients with loss of autonomy who require daily assistance outside institutional settings.

As a physical rehabilitation technologist, your primary responsibility will be to:

• Contribute to the evaluation of physical disabilities related to neurological, musculoskeletal, and cardiorespiratory systems

• Implement treatment plans previously assessed by a licensed physiotherapist or based on a medical diagnosis indicating the affected structure

• Execute therapeutic interventions aiming to optimize functional performance

• Update and document clinical progress accurately

• Possibly assist in clinical teaching and patient education

You will be supporting clients living independently in the community who need tailored support to maintain their autonomy and quality of life.

Requirements:

• Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Physical Rehabilitation Technology from a recognized educational institution

• Membership with the Ordre professionnel de la physiothérapie du Québec (OPPQ) is mandatory

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a diverse patient base

• Must be available for on-site full-time work
