In this role, you will provide high-quality occupational therapy services within a client-centered framework, assessing patients’ physical, perceptual, cognitive, and functional status through both formal and informal methods. You will design and implement personalized interventions to enhance overall functioning, recommend appropriate levels of support post-discharge, and educate patients, families, students, and healthcare team members. Active participation in interdisciplinary rounds, meetings, committees, and quality improvement initiatives will be expected.

You will be responsible for adhering to the professional practice standards and ethical codes of the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO). The role demands strong clinical skills in both assessment and intervention, the ability to prioritize and manage a high caseload in a fast-paced healthcare environment, and a commitment to collaborative and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy services to a diverse adult patient population.

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.

  • Implement targeted interventions to support functional independence and quality of life.

  • Provide patient, family, and team education.

  • Collaborate in interdisciplinary teams, quality initiatives, and committees.

  • Maintain professional and ethical standards of practice.

Qualifications:

  • BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent).

  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.

  • Membership in CAOT or OSOT preferred.

  • Fluency in English (spoken, written, comprehension).

  • Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Willingness to travel between Osler sites when required.

Work Schedule: Days/evenings, 8-hour shifts including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to operational changes).
