Description:

At CISSS de la Montérégie-Ouest, the mission is to maintain and improve community health and wellbeing through accessible, integrated, and quality health and social services. The Ergothérapeute (Occupational Therapist) evaluates functional abilities, plans and implements treatment and intervention strategies to develop, restore, or maintain skills. The role focuses on compensating for disabilities, reducing handicap situations, and adapting environments to optimize autonomy in interaction with the environment. The therapist also participates in clinical teaching.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ functional abilities

• Develop and implement treatment and intervention plans

• Restore, develop, or maintain patient skills

• Compensate for disabilities and reduce handicaps

• Adapt environments to improve autonomy

• Participate in clinical education and training

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy

• Membership in the Ordre des ergothérapeutes du Québec (OEQ)
