Iris Software Inc., a leading IT services provider, is hiring a Mobile UI Developer (Angular/Ionic Developer) for a long-term contract opportunity with one of Canada’s top five banks. The selected candidate will be part of a high-performing team responsible for designing and developing modern hybrid mobile applications that deliver exceptional user experiences. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement based in Toronto, ON, and involves working on mission-critical applications in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement high-performance hybrid mobile applications using Angular (5+) and the Ionic Framework.

• Develop robust and reusable UI components with a focus on responsive and user-friendly design.

• Integrate front-end components with RESTful APIs, SOAP/XML services, and other large-scale backend systems.

• Collaborate with backend teams to define and refine API specifications, ensuring optimal integration and data flow.

• Ensure code quality through effective testing, debugging, and adherence to industry best practices.

• Work closely with product owners, designers, and QA teams to deliver efficient, scalable, and secure mobile solutions.

• Contribute to architectural discussions and provide input on technology strategies and implementation improvements.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation for developed features, APIs, and system interactions.

Required Technical Skills:

• Angular 5+ with proficiency in ngRx and RxJS.

• Hands-on experience with the Ionic Framework for hybrid mobile app development.

• Strong understanding of large-system integration patterns, including SOAP/XML and JSON/RESTful services.

• Proficiency with Swagger API Developer Tools or Open API Specification (OAS) for documentation and testing.

• Knowledge of Microservices Architecture and its implementation in enterprise-scale systems.

• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and containerization technologies such as Docker or OpenShift.

• Understanding of API security best practices, including mutual SSL, Spring Security, SQL injection prevention, and OWASP guidelines.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.

• Ability to work in a collaborative hybrid environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.

• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to issue resolution.

• Experience working with financial or enterprise-level clients will be considered an asset.
