- Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on industrial equipment in a production environment
- Preventive maintenance of high-speed packaging equipment.
- Work as part of a team to troubleshoot and repair equipment, including disassembling and reassembling machinery, overhauling gearboxes, and replacing bearings, etc.
- Maintain a preventative maintenance program for plant equipment
- Be part of an effective work planning process that utilizes work orders, planners, and part staging
- Operate CO2, Boiler, Steam, and Air systems in accordance with Standard Operating Procedure
- Maintenance documentation update
- Respect of plant policy (Safety, Environment, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points
- Perform work in a manner consistent with plant safety, housekeeping standards, and quality checks
Job Qualifications
- Valid Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) license or Red Seal Industrial Electrician license
- A Valid 5th class Power Engineering certificate a minimum. 4th Class Preferred
- Willing and able to work rotating shifts (days, afternoons and midnights), overtime, weekends, and holidays. Shift premiums will apply
- Proven mechanical and troubleshooting skills; Prefer 3 or more years experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance
- Ability to set up and operate all machines common to the trade and ability to operate equipment including lathe, vertical mill, band saw, drill press, etc. Welding experience an asset
- Experience with Servo Motors,VFD and Controllers, and PLC Controls of various Rockwell Automation Platforms considered an asset.
- Outstanding work ethic with exceptional discipline, attendance, and safety record. Level 2 First Aid an asset
- Self-starter with an ability to work with limited supervision
- High energy and initiative, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable with a face-paced environment
- Computer familiarity and capable of adapting to new computer programs
