We’re hiring a Marketing and Communications Associate in a role designed for long-term growth and development within the company.
Not a social media manager. Not an influencer.
Someone who understands how to build credibility through content and support business growth through strategic marketing that drives results. Someone who can take what's already happening at Lyon Lifts (projects, people, growth) and turn it into content and communications that build credibility and support the business.
We've grown from zero to $30M in under five years. The work is tangible, the team is hands-on, and there's no shortage of stories worth telling. We want one person dedicated to telling them well and consistently.
What you’ll do
Communications and Content:
- Write and publish content that builds our brand and engages our audience on our social platforms (with special attention to LinkedIn). This is a priority.
- Shoot and edit simple short-form videos and behind-the-scenes content
- Document what our team does on the ground: projects, people, partnerships, and community involvement
- Support award submissions, PR opportunities, and industry recognition
Marketing and Growth:
- Turn completed projects into case studies and website content
- Support sales with clear, straightforward materials and presentations
- Manage email marketing campaigns and newsletters (Mailchimp or similar)
- Contribute to marketing strategy and identify growth opportunities
- Track and report on content and campaign performance
- Help improve how we present our services and position the business online
Event coordination and partnerships:
- Coordinate logistics for tradeshows, industry events, and sponsorship activations
- Support event planning and execution for golf tournaments, mixers, and networking events
- Manage event materials, booth setup, promotional items, and on-site content capture
- Help maximize visibility and ROI from our sponsorships and community involvement
You'll also:
- Work independently with minimal oversight while staying aligned with business goals
- Bring ideas and take initiative: we're a small team where ownership matters
What we’re looking for
- Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
- 1-2 years of relevant marketing or communications experience
- Strong writer: clear, simple, no fluff
- Comfortable shooting and editing basic video on a phone (CapCut, Premiere Rush, or similar)
- Proven ability to create and manage B2B content (case studies, email campaigns, etc.)
- Able to create compelling visuals for digital and print: social graphics, simple sales materials, presentations and comfortable using tools like (Canva, Adobe Express, or similar apps)
- Experience with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar)
- Familiarity with WordPress or similar CMS for website content updates
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Genuinely curious about business, operations, and entrepreneurship
Bonus if you have
- Experience in B2B, trades, construction, or industrial environments
- Knowledge of SEO and content strategy
- Basic analytics skills (Google Analytics, LinkedIn insights, email metrics)
