Deloitte, one of Canada’s leading professional services firms, is seeking a Manager/Senior Manager for its Tax Technology Consulting (TTC) practice, specializing in SAP tax implementations and tax automation. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to blend tax expertise with technology, working alongside innovative professionals to drive impactful client solutions across Canada.

As part of Deloitte’s TTC team, you will play a pivotal role in managing the end-to-end lifecycle of tax technology projects, ensuring deliverables are met with the highest quality, within scope, timeline, and budget. You will collaborate closely with clients to define business requirements, conduct functional designs, and configure solutions such as SAP for tax purposes, particularly for indirect taxes (GST, HST, PST).

Your daily responsibilities will include designing efficient business processes, developing detailed scenario and flow maps, executing rigorous system testing, conducting user training, and defining post-implementation support structures. You will also contribute to project pursuit strategies, proposal development, and maintaining long-term client relationships.

A key aspect of this role is mentorship and leadership — guiding and developing team members through coaching, technical training, and active engagement in client projects. Your expertise and proactive leadership will help shape Deloitte’s growing reputation in tax technology transformation.

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in tax with hands-on involvement in delivering technology-driven projects.

• Practical experience with indirect tax technology applications such as ONESOURCE, Vertex, Avatax, or Sovos.

• Strong knowledge and configuration experience in SAP for indirect tax (GST, HST, PST).

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related disciplines.

• Proven project management and leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and multiple stakeholders.

• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication abilities.

• Capability to lead engagements from planning through execution with a strong focus on quality and efficiency.
