Maintenance Technician

 

Description:

CBRE is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment in Markham, Ontario. The role involves performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems to ensure efficient and safe operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and building systems

  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose issues, and complete repairs

  • Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems

  • Review and manage assigned work orders to ensure timely completion

  • Support energy management efforts by ensuring system efficiency

  • Inspect installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations

  • Use standard procedures to solve routine problems and communicate information clearly

  • Deliver work following defined procedures and under supervision

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years relevant experience (or equivalent combination)

  • Physically capable of stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting loads of 50 lbs or more

  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards

  • Strong communication skills for exchanging straightforward information

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Strong organizational skills and inquisitive mindset

  • Authorized to work in Canada without visa sponsorship now or in the future
