Description:

OPW Global, a global leader in fluid-handling solutions, is seeking a skilled Machinist to join its Calgary facility. This role is ideal for individuals who possess strong manual machining experience and are eager to learn and develop CNC programming and operation skills. The successful candidate will work on precision machining tasks that require accuracy, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of manufacturing drawings and measurement tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately machine high-quality parts following engineering drawings and specifications.

• Read and interpret manufacturing blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.

• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

• Participate in daily production meetings with team leaders to address manufacturing priorities and challenges.

• Develop product knowledge and continuously improve machining techniques.

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with company standards.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Must be registered or willing to register in a Machinist Apprenticeship Program.

• Strong verbal communication skills for effective coordination with supervisors and coworkers.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.

• Experience with Mazatrol programming preferred, but not mandatory.

• Excellent mathematical skills and a sound understanding of mechanical principles.
