Giant Tiger, a Canadian owned and operated retailer with over 50 years of success, is seeking a Learning & Development Intern to join their Home Office team. This internship provides hands-on experience in instructional design, program coordination, and Learning Management System (LMS) management. Interns will gain insight into how training programs are designed, launched, and sustained within a fast-paced retail organization.
Assist in designing, editing, and assigning eLearnings.
Coordinate training events and contribute to L&D projects.
Support LMS updates and maintenance, particularly Workday Learning.
Maintain training catalogues and team documentation.
Participate in cross-functional initiatives, team meetings, and special projects.
Shadow senior team members to gain exposure to leadership development and digital learning strategies.
Enrolled in or recently completed studies in Instructional Design, Education, or Human Resources.
Knowledge of instructional design principles or adult learning theory.
Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Comfortable using MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
Quick learner with strong time management and communication skills.
Passionate about learning, employee development, and continuous improvement.
Experience with eLearning tools such as Articulate Rise & Storyline.
Exposure to Workday Learning or other LMS platforms.
Bilingualism (English/French).
Familiarity with project coordination, communications, or basic data analysis.
Interest in retail, leadership development, or digital learning strategies.
