Labour & Employment Associate

Description:

Treiber Law is accepting applications from junior lawyers with 0-3 years of labour and employment law experience. Candidates currently completing their articles that have labour and employment law experience will also be considered.

The candidate should have:

• 0-3 years of employment law experience (labour law experience is an asset)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to draft demand letters, responses to demand letters, pleadings, mediation briefs, motion materials and facta
• Ability to provide advisory and solicitor's advice to employers, including contract and policy drafting and interpretation of the minimum employment standards legislation
• Superior customer service skills, a high EQ and excellent "beside manner"
• A good attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit - jerks need not apply
