Intro To Ui/ux Design

Concordia University's Centre for Continuing Education is seeking a qualified and experienced Part-time Instructor to teach the Intro to UI/UX Design (CEDP 410) course for the Spring 2025 term. The course will be delivered online, with a total of 40 instructional hours scheduled Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, running from May 7 to June 11, 2025.

This role involves preparing lesson plans, delivering engaging and hands-on classes, evaluating student performance, and submitting final grades. Instructors are also expected to participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities.

Course Overview:
The course introduces students to the core principles of User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) Design, covering key elements like:

• GUI design for websites and mobile interfaces

• Screen-based image optimization

• Advanced page layout strategies

By the end of the course, students will be able to:

• Create GUIs using Photoshop and Figma

• Optimize graphics for web publication

• Apply UX design concepts

• Build prototypes for websites, tablets, and mobile apps

Required Qualifications:

• Educational Background: DEC in Media Arts, BA/MA in Interactive Design or a related field (or equivalent).

• Professional Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience.

• Teaching Experience: At least 3 years in a related teaching role.

• Technical Skills: Experience in sketching, wireframing, prototyping, coding, and working with tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe XD.

• Proven ability to take digital projects from concept to launch with a focus on business impact.
