Information Technology Project Manager

 

Description:

Scout Talent is recruiting a full-time Information Technology Project Manager to lead high-impact technology projects for a mission-driven non-profit organization. This role reports to the Director of IT and supports strategic and operational objectives through planning, executing, and delivering IT projects remotely from anywhere in Canada.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Define project scope, goals, timelines, and deliverables with stakeholders.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans including risk assessments, budgets, and communication strategies.

  • Coordinate internal teams and external vendors for smooth project execution.

  • Monitor and report project performance using KPIs and management tools.

  • Manage risks and issues, including escalation and mitigation.

  • Lead stakeholder engagement, provide updates, and align cross-functional teams.

  • Document all project lifecycle phases, ensuring compliance with governance standards.

  • Propose and contribute to improvements in project management practices.

  • Support full lifecycle of internal and external technology solutions.

  • Research trends in SaaS, AI, and business automation.

  • Create and maintain SOPs and knowledge-sharing tools.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent education and experience.

  • 3-5 years of experience in project management, SaaS, cloud computing, software implementation, or business analysis.

  • Familiarity with project management frameworks such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile.

  • Experience with digital transformation, AI adoption, or process automation initiatives.

  • Proficiency in SaaS/cloud environments and project management tools like MS Project.

  • Strong business analysis skills including requirements gathering and process mapping.

  • Experience managing IT vendors and coordinating cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and adaptability.
