Description:
SCIEX, a global leader in life sciences and a part of Danaher Corporation, is seeking an experienced and strategic HR Business Partner to join their team in Concord, Ontario. With over 50 years of innovation in mass spectrometry and capillary electrophoresis, SCIEX supports research in environmental safety, disease biomarkers, patient care, drug development, and food safety. This role plays a pivotal part in enhancing employee experience and supporting leadership in achieving organizational performance and talent development objectives.
As an HR Business Partner, you will act as a strategic advisor and coach for management, contributing to core HR functions including workforce planning, talent acquisition, succession planning, performance management, and organizational development.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a trusted advisor to front-line and senior managers on HR strategies, employee relations, and workforce planning.
Drive initiatives related to talent development, succession planning, compensation strategies, and performance improvement.
Partner with Talent Acquisition to meet hiring targets by analyzing headcount, attrition, and workforce needs.
Provide coaching and support on policy application, performance issues, terminations, investigations, and legal compliance in partnership with legal counsel.
Collaborate cross-functionally to promote a high-performance culture, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
Manage the implementation of HR programs and change management initiatives across assigned business units.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in HR, including 2+ years in a business partner or advisor role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across all levels.
Strong business acumen and ability to apply HR insights to support business goals.
Excellent time management and ability to prioritize competing tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification.
Experience using Workday or a similar HRIS system.
Travel Requirement: Up to 10% travel within North America, with occasional international travel.
