Housekeeping Supervisor

Description:

The Housekeeping Supervisor at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise plays a pivotal role in maintaining the resort’s high standards of cleanliness, comfort, and luxury for guests. This role involves supervising and leading the housekeeping team to ensure operational excellence, guest satisfaction, and adherence to Fairmont’s brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, supervise, and support all housekeeping staff, including Room Attendants, Housepersons, Turndown Attendants, and Public Area Attendants.

• Ensure guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and staff facilities meet Fairmont’s luxury cleanliness standards.

• Respond promptly to guest feedback and resolve service issues.

• Train, coach, and motivate the team, providing regular performance feedback.

• Participate in daily briefings, warm-ups, and departmental meetings.

• Maintain effective communication with other departments (e.g., Front Office, Engineering).

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies.

Qualifications:

• Prior supervisory experience in housekeeping, ideally within a luxury hotel.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Opera or similar property management systems is an asset.

• Physically capable of standing, walking, and moving for extended periods, and lifting moderate weights as needed.

• Flexibility to work holidays, weekends, overnights, and non-day shifts.
