Description:
Fairmont Banff Springs, located in one of Western Canada’s most breathtaking alpine destinations, is seeking a Hotel Engineer to join its Engineering and Maintenance Department. The successful candidate will ensure efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of the hotel’s mechanical and environmental systems while delivering exceptional service to guests and supporting departmental goals.
Monitor, maintain, and repair mechanical systems, including HVAC, boilers, chillers, and refrigeration.
Perform regular facility inspections, preventive maintenance, and safety checks to ensure optimal system functionality.
Respond to service requests promptly and support emergency response initiatives.
Collaborate with other trades and departments to ensure smooth operational flow.
Maintain compliance with all safety, health, and departmental standards.
Work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and on-call shifts as required.
4th Class Power Engineer certification (mandatory).
Valid Canadian Class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract.
Strong knowledge of energy management and building automation systems.
Proficiency in technical and facility management software.
Ability to lift up to 25 kg and perform physically demanding tasks.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
