Role Overview:
The Hotel Engineer provides safe and efficient maintenance services to guests and operates the building’s environmental systems. The role involves effective communication with guests and colleagues, timely response to requests, and contributing to departmental and hotel goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, maintain, and repair mechanical systems including HVAC, boilers, chillers, and refrigeration.

• Complete work orders promptly.

• Conduct regular facility rounds and preventive maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety, health, and departmental standards.

• Support emergency response efforts and be available for flexible scheduling (nights, weekends, on-call).

• Collaborate with colleagues and assist other trades to maintain smooth operations.

• Deliver professional, accountable, guest-focused service while following hotel policies and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Mandatory 4th Class Power Engineer certification.

• Canadian Class 5 driver’s license in good standing with a clean driver’s abstract.

• Proficient in energy management and building automation systems.

• Skilled in building management, trade-specific tasks, code compliance, and operational efficiency improvements.

• Computer literacy related to technical and facility management software.

• Strong manual dexterity and ability to lift up to 25 kg.

• Ability to manage multiple technical tasks independently and under deadlines.
