Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking an Apprentice General Manager to join their Calgary location. The role is designed for individuals passionate about food, leadership, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. This position plays a critical role in supporting the General Manager in leading restaurant operations and ensuring the restaurant meets company standards and values.

The Apprentice General Manager is responsible for driving daily operations, acting as the General Manager in their absence, and leading a dynamic team. They are expected to model the behavior, values, and standards of Chipotle, including fostering a positive work culture, delivering high-quality service, and maintaining clean, safe environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead restaurant operations and staff, ensuring adherence to company culture and policies.

• Act as General Manager during their absence and support overall restaurant performance.

• Hire, train, and develop team members, especially Kitchen and Service Managers.

• Ensure proper employee compensation and benefits, and help identify advancement opportunities.

• Manage employee schedules to balance service quality and budget.

• Support administrative functions including payroll, inventory, ordering, and cash handling.

• Communicate corporate initiatives and changes effectively to the team.

• Build sales, control costs, and meet financial targets.

• Oversee sanitation and cleanliness standards.

• Participate in local marketing and promotional efforts.

• Emphasize safety, security, and emergency readiness.

• Possess strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.

• Have experience in a supervisory restaurant role.

• Show adaptability and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Be a proven team builder with excellent customer service instincts.

• Have experience as a Chipotle Service Manager (preferred).

• Hold an AA or BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.

• Be proficient in PC and Microsoft Office Suite.
