Guest Activities Animator

Description:

Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Guest Activities Animator to organize and implement daily activities for guests within the Resort Activities Department. This role includes group presentations, guided activities, social events, and children’s programs, all designed to create memorable experiences for guests in the breathtaking setting of Banff National Park.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and supervise activities both on and off the property for groups of up to 12 participants.

• Deliver interpretive presentations to groups of up to 50 guests.

• Assist in maintaining and updating the online activity booking system.

• Collaborate with the team to develop engaging social events and kids' activities.

• Train team members on activity execution to ensure service excellence and consistency.

• Safely lift and move equipment such as canoes (90+ pounds).

• Perform occasional physical tasks such as kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in recreational activities facilitation.

• CPR and First Aid certification required.

• Highly responsible, energetic, creative, and reliable.

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); design software knowledge is an asset.

• Familiarity with the hotel, surrounding areas, and National Parks is an advantage.

• IGA Apprentice Guide certification is considered an asset.

• Willingness to work on holidays, weekends, overnights, and non-day shifts.
