Forklift Operator

Description:

DELPHARM MONTREAL, a well-established pharmaceutical manufacturer, is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator for a full-time, permanent night shift position at its Pointe-Claire, QC location. This critical role is responsible for ensuring a continuous supply of packaging components, bulk products, finished goods, and other materials to the packaging and manufacturing lines in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and standard operating procedures.

The position demands reliability, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Continuously supply the production and packaging lines with bulk products, packaging components, and pallets

• Identify and manage finished products

• Return or consume excess bulk, components, and finished goods to the warehouse upon order completion

• Replenish inventory of accessories and materials at workstations

• Prepare boxes of components for production use

• Collect, sort, and dispose of production waste and rejected items

• Prepare internal orders for the packaging department

• Maintain work pace to meet production schedule and standards

• Assist with product and component reconciliation at order close

• Keep the work area clean and organized

• Report deviations or anomalies and contribute to investigations and corrective/preventive actions

• Support department goals related to quality, efficiency, and cost control

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma (DES)

• Minimum 5 years’ experience operating a Reach forklift

• Knowledge of GMP regulations applicable to material handling

• Competent in Outlook, Excel, Access, Internet, and inventory management systems

• Proficient in French (read, spoken, and written)

• Must meet requirements of Secured Freight and CTPAT programs

• Flexibility to work night shifts, with availability for 6–8 weeks of day training at onboarding
