Embedded Service Technician

Description:

This is a senior-level position requiring an experienced technician to maintain and repair advanced security systems, including access control and CCTV systems. The role is based at Ottawa Airport and involves working on-site to provide exceptional service, ensuring compliance with company standards, and offering expert recommendations for system usage. As a detail-oriented professional, you will troubleshoot complex systems, manage repair inventories, and adhere to strict security protocols while delivering top-notch customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair security systems, including access control and CCTV.

• Prioritize service calls based on urgency and ensure repairs meet company standards.

• Communicate clear system usage recommendations to clients.

• Maintain detailed service records and generate reports.

• Efficiently manage repair inventories and repair door hardware/operators as needed.

• Obtain and maintain clearance for restricted areas when required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Certified technician with proven experience in access control and CCTV systems.

• Strong technical knowledge of security system repair and maintenance.

• Bilingual in English and French (for Quebec).

• Ability to pass security clearance processes.

• Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing complex systems.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications in C-Cure 9000 and/or Milestone (required).

• Certifications in Genetec, Avigilon, Lenel, Axis, Bosch (highly preferred).

• Experience in door hardware and operator repairs.

• Familiarity with airport security procedures and protocols.

Logistics & Working Conditions:

• This position is local/onsite at Ottawa Airport.

• Candidates must be willing to relocate if outside the area.

• Must be eligible to work in Canada without restrictions.
