Liquids in Motion Ltd is currently seeking a full time Controller to oversee all aspects of the accounting department for Canadian and US entities. This position requires a senior level accounting knowledge with the ability to quickly grasp how LIM’s operation is run. The right person for the role will possess a wide breadth of knowledge across both accounting and Human Resources. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the Accounting department for both Canadian and US entities providing leadership, guidance, and support.
• Ensure accuracy of monthly Financial reporting for Canadian and US entities
• Prepare consolidated management financials to meet facility letter requirements
• Manage, monitor and budget cash flow
• As part of the senior management team, approve and implement computer software, hardware and network requirements
• Validate payroll for Canadian and US entities
• Oversee all aspects of Human Resources
• Manage employee benefits and renewal process
• Review and validate all new hire contracts for Canadian and US entities and Owner Operators
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Complete monthly account and bank reconciliations for multiple entities
• Monthly and annual financial statements, year-end, and reporting for multiple entities
• Monthly GST preparation for Canadian entities
• Develop and implement department and company policies and processes
• Advise on and implement internal controls and checks
• Monitor and control petty cash for Canadian and US operations
• Prepare and submit WCB reporting for all provinces as requires

Knowledge and Experience

· A degree or business diploma in accounting

· Minimum 5 years experience in a Senior Accounting Role

· Excellent oral and written communication

· Excellent computer and Excel skills

· Previous experience with transportation preferred

· Knowledge of Federal Regulations preferred

· Knowledge in Cross Border operations preferred

· Education in Human Resources preferred
