Business Development Executive

 

Description:

Constellation Payments, a modern Payment Facilitator (PayFac) under the Jonas Software umbrella, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Executive to spearhead ISV acquisition efforts. This role is critical to expanding Constellation’s PayFac infrastructure by acquiring Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), building executive relationships, and driving revenue growth through embedded payments solutions.

As part of the Sales and Marketing team and reporting directly to the Director of Sales, the Business Development Executive will function as a consultative partner to ISVs—helping them optimize monetization strategies, enhance merchant experiences, and unlock new revenue streams. Since this is a newly created role, the selected candidate will also help shape operational workflows for ISV acquisition and collaborate with M&A teams to underwrite acquisitions with a payments thesis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, qualify, and close new ISV partnerships through proactive outbound strategies.

  • Leverage industry research and market intelligence to develop tailored outreach approaches.

  • Build and maintain strong C-level relationships to align payment solutions with ISV needs.

  • Develop and present financial models showcasing ROI and partnership benefits.

  • Craft strategic and compliant proposals in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to contract execution and onboarding handoff.

  • Support ISV technical readiness by coordinating with integration and onboarding teams.

  • Represent Constellation Payments at trade shows, virtual events, and industry networking opportunities.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Signing and integrating at least 7 new ISV partners annually.

  • Maintaining a qualified pipeline worth 3–4x revenue quota.

  • Delivering actionable insights from fieldwork to shape product strategy and partner programs.

  • Establishing thought leadership frameworks within ISV verticals.
