Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role, you will join Amgen BC’s affinity team in In Vitro Pharmacology group to discover novel therapeutic antibodies.

Our small team specializes in designing and conducting both high throughput and smaller, custom biophysical screening assays to rank and characterize both discovery and later stage large molecule therapeutic programs. The individual will join a team of dedicated scientists to discover and characterize molecules that have the potential to help patients in need. A well-suited applicant will have great laboratory skills, a strong analytical mindset, deep scientific curiosity, and a can-do attitude. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, optimization, and implementation of various biophysical based screening assays for novel therapeutic candidates with guidance from the lead Scientist.

Essential Functions:

  • Conduct routine and novel affinity/kinetic characterization screens on all relevant platforms (Carterra, Octet, Biacore, KinExA), including custom assays and assay development
  • Instrument housekeeping, reagent ordering, troubleshooting
  • Data summarizing and reporting (ELN, Screener, Benchling, slide decks), timely documentation
